Ember is an AI planning assistant for iPhone and iPad. You tell it what you want from the week; it asks the questions a good planner would, drafts the plan, and commits it when you agree. When the day goes sideways, it re-plans from now. Momentum, not streaks: a bad day dents, nothing resets.

Ember is an AI planning assistant that helps people get where they want to go. Instead of a form or an endless list, planning is a conversation: say what you want this week, and Ember asks about your working hours, what is already fixed and what matters most, then drafts a week around your real calendar and shows every change before anything is written. When plans meet a real day, Day chat and Apply today re-plan the rest of it from the current time, and Rescue picks what still fits. Ember tracks momentum rather than streaks, so a bad day dents the score and never resets it. One button starts a 25-minute focus block on the next step.

Ember is local-first and works offline with no account. A free account adds sync and the planning assistant, which runs on Anthropic's Claude. Ember is free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 and later), with home-screen and lock-screen widgets, Live Activities and an iPad layout. It is made by Yatish Gautam.

Yatish Gautam is the independent developer behind Ember, based in Canada. He designs, builds and supports it himself across the iPhone and iPad app, the web and the planning server. He started it because every planner he tried worked beautifully until the first day that did not go to plan, and then made that day worse.
